Our LGV driving instructors all have a vast amount of experience in delivering all categories of LGV training delivered on a one to one basis. Our instructors provide guidance every step of the way to successfully passing your chosen category. Each student follows the following steps;

STEP 1. After deciding on which category and passing your medical, you need to apply for your provisional licence

STEP 2. While waiting for your licence, start preparing for your required theory tests, Emerald can provide CD Roms and books to help you with this and theory training if you require.

STEP 3. After passing your required theory tests, we take you out for a practical assessment drive, so our instructor can recommend the exact number of hours training you need to meet the DSA test standard.

STEP 4. Practical training and test

STEP 5. Module 4 - If applicable, this is the final stage only for anyone who wishes to drive professionally and does not have C1 entitlement on his or her licence

To progress on to C+E licence you only have to complete step 4 above, there is no theory test involved.
